Process Design

During the design phase, careful selection of materials and equipment for your process is key to a successful scale-up, construction timeline, and capital budget. Our experienced team can help you come up with low risk solutions to the most complex biotech or pharmaceutical process.

Process Flow Diagrams (PFD's) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's) are the two most basic tools available to any manufacturing facility. QPS can take your data and generate PFD's to quantify your needs for space, equipment, personnel, and materials. From the PFD's, we can help you create batch records, write SOP's, and even train your personnel.

P&ID's are commonly supplied by the original verndor or builder for equipment, and often, they are never again revisited. Changes occur, and must be controlled. QPS will update and correct (or create) your CAD documents to as built conditions.

These diagrams are essential to demonstrating regulatory control over processes and facilities. More and more regulators are being educated to ask for, read, and understand drawings.
